The Ontario Government is looking for additional health professionals to help support the province’s efforts to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The government is looking for health professionals who:
- have been recently laid off and are willing and able to work;
- are working part-time and are willing and able to increase their work hours;
- are registered inactive with their regulatory college and are willing and able to return to work;
- are retired and are willing and able to return to work.
If you are interested in supporting the province’s efforts, please register through the Workforce Matching Portal.
Once you register and complete your profile, your availability and skill sets will be matched with employers in need of assistance to perform a variety of public health functions, such as case and contact management. You will receive an email notification if you are matched.
Before you begin
The Ontario Government has alerted colleges to an issue where the Portal will not accept registration numbers. The Ontario Government is working on a fix for this issue. In the meantime, please select “Other Health Professionals”, not “Regulated Health Professionals”. Once logged in, you will be able to update your registration number.
Please note that this effort is coordinated by the Ontario Government. There are several resources available to help you learn more about the Portal:
If you need technical assistance
If you having technical difficulties using the Portal, contact the Ontario Public Service (OPS) IT service desk at 1 (888) 677-4873 or (416) 246-7171. Once you hear “You have reached the OPS IT Service Desk”, enter prompt code 011 on your telephone.
We encourage all kinesiologists, who are willing and able, to respond to this opportunity. Together and with the hard work and dedication of health professionals, Ontario will be well-positioned to respond to this pandemic.
