On March 9, 2022, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) announced that mask mandates will be lifted in most public spaces in Ontario on March 21, 2022, except for select settings such as public transit, health care settings, long-term care homes and congregate care settings.
Kinesiologists working in community settings such as private practice clinics should continue to follow the Ministry of Health’s Primary Care Providers in a Community Setting document.
The CMOH also announced that Health Directive #6 for the COVID-19 vaccination policies and testing policies is revoked effective March 14, 2022.
While key public health and health system indicators are continuing to improve, all health-care workers – and all Ontarians – are still encouraged to remain up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations, including boosters once they become eligible.
