To fulfill our public protection mandate, CKO creates Practice Standards and Guidelines to ensure that kinesiologists provide safe and ethical treatment, care and services to their patients/clients. Kinesiologists must understand and follow these Practice Standards and Guidelines.
To help identify learning opportunities and facilitate communication between kinesiologists and CKO, we are continuing this series of surveys regarding Practice Standards and Guidelines. This is the sixth survey in this series, with the intent being to gather feedback from Kinesiologists on what Practice Standards of Guidelines need revision.
To help encourage reflection on how consent may serve patients’/clients’ interests, the fifth survey of this series is focused on the Practice Standard – Professional Collaboration, the Practice Standard – Supervision and Education of Students and Support Personnel and the Practice Guideline – Accountabilities in Different Roles. This information is important for kinesiologists, given the wide range of practice environments and roles in which they practice in Ontario.
Please take a moment to complete this short and anonymous survey. Your responses will help CKO understand kinesiologists’ needs and provide additional resources to ensure kinesiologists’ practice remains safe, ethical and of high quality. This survey may also be an opportunity for you to reflect on your knowledge and understanding of the Practice Standard and Practice Guideline and identify individual learning goals.
The survey results will be shared in the September issue of the newsletter.
