The College of Kinesiologists of Ontario is inviting feedback from registrants, stakeholders, and members of the public on proposed changes to introduce an emergency class certificate of registration.

In April 2022, Bill 106, the Pandemic and Emergency Preparedness Act, 2022, came into effect as a method to strengthen our healthcare system’s ability to respond in the event of a public health emergency.

Each regulatory health college in Ontario has been asked to develop a regulation for a new emergency class certificate of registration that will allow a temporary but quicker path to registration for healthcare professionals during a declared emergency circumstance.

Colleges must submit their proposed regulation amendments to the Ontario Ministry of Health by May 1, 2023.

Visit our consultation web page to learn more about the proposed changes and new regulation, and how you can provide feedback.

Let us know what you think by April 17, 2023.

Please contact us at registration@coko.ca if you have any questions regarding the consultation and review process.
